🗑 Account Deletion
SafeStop RV allows you to delete your account and all associated data at any time.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your SafeStop RV account directly within the app:
- Open the SafeStop RV app
- Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the navigation bar
- Scroll down to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your profile information (name, email, profile photo)
- Vehicle profiles and settings
- Trip history and saved trips
- Fuel stop records and MPG data
- Campground stays and reviews
- Community contributions (safe stop reports, ratings)
- Subscription information
- App preferences and settings
Data Retention Timeline
- Immediately: Account access is revoked
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our servers
- Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be lost.
Alternative: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by email:
privacy@melken-solutions.com
Please include the email address associated with your account. Requests are processed within 7 business days.
Active Subscriptions
If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. To avoid future charges:
- iOS: Cancel your subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Android: Cancel your subscription in Google Play Store > Subscriptions
